Emphasis is on the identification and production of speech sounds : vowels and consonants, symbols and transcription. Survey of speech and sound difficulties in English for Thai speakers. Phonological theories and its combining of sound system with the syntactic surface structure. Practical work in language laboratory in reproducing utterances and comparing them with the originals. |
